At Don't Forget, your privacy is our priority. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. This policy applies to all information collected through our mobile application for iOS and Android.

A. Location Data: Because our core functionality is based on geofencing, our app requests access to your device's location services (both foreground and background location). This data is strictly used locally on your device to trigger entry and exit alerts. We do not store your location history, and we do not transmit your location coordinates to any remote servers.

B. User-Generated Content: The names of the locations you save and the names of the items you list are stored locally on your device in an encrypted database (such as Room/CoreData). We do not have access to this data.

C. Automatically Collected Data: When you access the app, we may automatically collect certain operational data, such as app crash reports and basic usage metrics (if you have opted-in to sharing crash data via Google Play or Apple App Store diagnostic tools). This data is anonymized and used solely to improve application stability.

3. How We Use in Your Information

Because the vast majority of our data processing happens locally on your device, we use your information internally only to:

• Enable the core functionality of the app (Geofencing and Reminders).
• Send you local push notifications when you arrive or leave your saved locations.
• Comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others. User data remains entirely on your device. However, certain anonymous, aggregated crash reports might be processed by trusted third-party service providers (like Firebase Crashlytics) strictly for debugging and improving the app, subject to your explicit consent.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

All location and item data is retained locally on your mobile device for as long as you use the application. You have the right to delete this data at any time. To completely erase your data, simply delete the saved locations directly within the app or uninstall the application from your device.

6. Third-Party Services

Don't Forget integrates with the Google Maps SDK and Google Places API to allow you to search for locations visually. By using the app, you are also bound by Google’s Privacy Policy. We do not transmit any of your personal identity information to Google during this process.

7. Children's Privacy

Our application does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
